Hey! How’s it going? My name is Rajinstan Kamalraj — a curious soul and visual storyteller with a love for nature, a growing focus on documentary filmmaking, and a steady interest in finding stories that matter.
Over time, I’ve come to see how much of an impact a well-told story can have. It’s what takes something that looks good and turns it into something that resonates. In a world where there’s always something competing for attention, stories are what help us slow down and see things a little more clearly.
My background is in communications, and that’s shaped the way I approach my work — not just thinking visually but also thinking about how people connect with what they’re seeing. Lately, I’ve been building more on the documentary side of things, bringing together the skills I’ve developed to tell stories that feel grounded and real.
I’m drawn to a wide range of stories, and I like the process of digging into something new and figuring out what gives it meaning. I have a strong connection to nature and telling those stories is something I care deeply about. But I also enjoy working on projects that take me into different spaces and perspectives. Whatever the subject, I try to bring the same curiosity and care to the work.
At the end of the day, I want to create stories that feel honest and stay with people — stories that help us better understand the world and our place in it.
